Himalayan Raptor Rescue is a small privately run organisation, we rely solely on private funding, donations and sponsorships The cost of medicine, housing, food and transportation can often be expensive. One of the ways you can help is by sponsoring one of our birds. Your sponsorship money will go directly towards the day to day costs of the care of your chosen bird.

You can also buy a sponsorship as a gift for a friend.

Bird of the Month

Kevin

Each month we single out one of our birds that deserves extra special treatment. This month it's everyone's favourite, the one and only Kevin.

Kevin is a 3 year old male Egyptian Vulture. He has been with us since he was around 3 weeks old after he was found abandoned at the foot of his nest. What makes Kevin special? Simple, he was the first Egyptian Vulture to be trained to fly with Paragliders and guide them to the thermals.

Himalayan Raptor Rescue believe that there is no better way to educate people about birds of prey than to get up close and personal and to have a hands on experience with them.
